A recent clinical study published in the Scandinavian Journal of Clinical and Laboratory Investigation, shows that hemolysis is frequently present in blood gas samples at emergency departments and should be taken into consideration. The study also shows that hemolysis could be detected directly, with high accuracy, at the point-of-care with a Hemcheck’s novel technology for hemolysis detection.
