Karlstad January 23, 2018: HemCheck Sweden AB announces that an agreement has been signed with Region Västmanland regarding a study to investigate the occurrence of hemolysis in blood gas samples taken at the emergency department in Västmanlands’s Hospital Västerås.
Blood gas analysis is routinely performed in hospitals, and is an important tool for analyzing blood samples when answers are required quickly for critical diagnoses. Blood gas analysis is, like regular blood sampling, affected by hemolysis, but the extent to which is not as well documented.
